Palais Oppenheim
We don’t just do new buildings. We also do history. The listed Palais Oppenheim dominates a large plot of land on the Rhine in Cologne’s Bayenthal district, which die developer want to restore to its previous glory and extend with two new buildings on the site. How do you do something like that?
Ideally, with caution and together with the city and politicians. Initially planned by us as an office complex, it turned into a unique residential project at the end. The new buildings and the old villa frame a park-like outdoor space and form a respectful dialogue between modern and historic architecture.
