Double U
Düsseldorf is big in fashion. Even if Berlin dominates the fashion magazines, the revenue is still generated in Düsseldorf. That needs space. The DOUBLE U property provides this space, the second project for die developer in the “entrepreneur city”.
The name is derived from the two interlocking structures and the double U can also be seen in the vertical aspect: a white plinth bears a light, silver bar.
The DOUBLE U was planned as an office building, but the development’s flexibility also appealed to fashion companies in Düsseldorf who use the building as showrooms. It’s not just the architecture that combines different elements; the tenants are also reflecting on the building’s diverse usage options. Doubly good.
